WLI 2025, Responding to Population Shifts: What Resilient Utilities Do

Coming on the heels of the 20th anniversary of Hurricane Katrina, this video explores how leaders from neighboring utilities in the New Orleans metro respond to population shifts. Leaders from the Sewerage and Water Board of New Orleans and Jefferson Parish are doing two things at once: closing today’s infrastructure gaps and preparing for tomorrow’s demand. They respond to changes in demand by reading early warning signals, acting on bottlenecks, and building plans the public can support.
