WLI 2025, Innovating for a Water-Secure Future

This second video in our series explores how resilient leadership drives the adoption of innovation in the water sector. Through real-world examples, including regionalization in Minnesota, Loudoun Water’s rock quarry partnership, and Denver Water’s award-winning Northwater Treatment Plant, we highlight the strategies utilities are using to overcome barriers like cost, risk, and capacity. From utility-to-utility collaboration and outside-the-box partnerships to innovation-minded leadership and culture shifts, the video demonstrates that progress comes not from avoiding challenges, but from reimagining them as opportunities. At its core, this is a call for leaders across the sector to take the leap of leadership, choosing to create the conditions where innovation can thrive. Please watch our first video in the series: From Challenge to Change: Solving Today’s Challenges with Tomorrow’s Technology.
