Since 2005, Fukushima Prefecture has been promoting the "Next Generation Medical Industry Cluster Project" with the aim of encouraging new entrants into the medical device field, with "Medical Creation Fukushima" being the core initiative of this project. The event started as the earliest regional exhibition in Japan focusing on design and manufacturing technology, but has now grown into an exhibition that brings together people from all over the country, from Hokkaido in the north to Okinawa in the south, who are challenging themselves with medical device development.
