BIO Policy Pulse: White House PBMs Roundtable

The White House brought together a group of public and private health experts and industry leaders this week to find the best way to reign in big Pharmacy Benefit Managers, or PBMs – the middlemen between drug makers, insurers, and pharmacies who use their market power to profit by driving up drug prices. This comes on the heels of several House and Senate committees advancing PBM reform laws that would bring greater transparency to PBMs.
